Martin Arnold is the FT’s financial regulation editor. He has been based in London writing about global financial supervision and enforcement since September 2024.

He was previously the FT’s bureau chief in Frankfurt, where he covered the European Central Bank and Eurozone economy. Earlier roles include banking editor, deputy companies editor, private equity correspondent and Paris correspondent.
